Federal agents 'abuse power' in Portland arrests

I do not understand the concern for the rights of rioters, but complete disregard for the rights local citizenry. This has not been a peaceful protest and the people of Portland deserve better. When local and state authorities fail to act it then becomes the responsibility of federal authorities. I know it will not happen but I would like to see local and state authorities that failed to act being held criminally and financially accountable for the crimes being committed.

I am going to make a strong assumption federal agents were told to "bust heads". This is the manifestation of Trump considering BLM to be terrorists and his desire for retribution and his declaration of domestic war. I will also make a strong assumption Trump and his aides war gamed this situation. If the federal agents increase their presence and violence what is a highly probable reaction by the protesters? Trump and his administration don't care if they escalate the violence. Trump uses hate as part of his leadership repertoire. You need not look far to see all the ways that Trump has destroyed things in our country. We need a president who builds things instead of destroying them.
