Federal agents 'abuse power' in Portland arrests

Oregon Governor Kate Brown has accused US federal agents in unmarked cars who apparently detained protesters in Portland of a "blatant abuse of power".
Federal officers, deployed by President Donald Trump, have also fired tear gas and less-lethal munitions into crowds of demonstrators.
Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf called the protesters a "violent mob".
Activists have been protesting against police brutality since George Floyd's killing in police custody on 25 May.

I do not understand the concern for the rights of rioters, but complete disregard for the rights local citizenry. This has not been a peaceful protest and the people of Portland deserve better. When local and state authorities fail to act it then becomes the responsibility of federal authorities. I know it will not happen but I would like to see local and state authorities that failed to act being held criminally and financially accountable for the crimes being committed.
