Woman charged with DWI after Marine hit on bicycle

A woman has been charged with DWI after a colliding with a bicyclist Sunday morning in New Bern.

New Bern police have charged Sanna Suarez, 46, with driving while impaired and driving left of center after the crash that happened shortly before 11:00 a.m. near Landscape Drive and Watercrest Loop in Carolina Colours.

The cyclist, Alex McGraw, of New Bern, was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center. Police say the 32-year-old man is a Marine stationed at Cherry Point.

Police say their investigation into the crash is continuing.
