The developments in her disappearance and likely death are disturbing and disgusting, but not new. Way back in 2007, there was a similar incident involving the Marines in California. A female junior enlisted member claimed sexual assault and was murdered by an NCO who buried her remains.

Nothing new at all LTC Eugene Chu which is sad in itself. Sexual assaults should not be happening in our military at the rate they are. I have always felt and still do that the military should allow independent prosecution of sexual assault case and keep it out of the hands of Commanders. Thanks for the link.

We need to do a better job weeding out these dirtbags. From what I've been reading she was repeatedly harassed and there may be some sort of love triangle for lack of a better word involving other soldiers and their exes.
