What has been reported:
- NSC got the intelligence regarding bounties and war gamed reactions, but Trump never acted.
- Foreign and US military intelligence new about the bounties.
- But a US official familiar with the latest information told that intelligence about the Russian bounty was included in the President's Daily Briefing (PDB) sometime in the spring.
- The WH press secretary does not deny the reports.
- Trump and Pence say they were never briefed.
I think this will get ugly fast. It is a proven fact that Trump does not act to maximize the benefit to the country. He gladly uses a scorched earth policy.
