The operative term has become "law enforcement" as "Protect and Serve" has gone the way of the dodo-bird. Florida even has a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), so it doesn't get any more blatant than that.

Some good points in the article. Personally, I have seen the no-knock become a major problem. I think they need to be discontinued.
As far as the recoil on a handgun held in the manner shown, I have never shot one in that manner so I really don't know if it would cause a stovepipe or other malfunction.

CPT Jack Durish you shouldn’t be bothered by it sir. The reality is that the way the police respond has been a transition based on how they have been assaulted over decades and decades of experience. They never just came out and said we need an armored vehicle. That thought came up from having to go in and rescue a downed officer..after some mad men opened up on them.
Not every situation is tactical, but every officer that wants to go home at night had better have his head on straight, and have a better than average understanding of basic tactics. Example-I carry 2 tourniquets, and a legit medical kit, for myself. Medics are not coming into a hot scene. Our young officers have literally died in back yards because officers did not have the weapons to compete with the bandits who had fortified their residences, and had voted that day to not go to jail.
Plain old officers are encountering bandits who rip them with rifles and automatic weapons that are illegal (bad guys don’t care). The vast majority of police contact is by traditional uniformed police with sidearms. Some, and I do mean some are tactical operations to go in for a specific purpose.
We should all be bothered by what happened in Minneapolis. Based on what I have read, this article is purely meant to attack police in what has become the narrative of police are bad. This is most unfortunate. They are not even close to being all bad, and we need them.
Everyone on this site (who is verified-cannot speak for those not verified) has at least some idea of tactics, some on this site could run circles around most. Many LEOs are vets and/or are still serving, some were true military studs. 99% have the same Red White and Blue blood still coursing through their veins. They go to work and their intentions are to fight crime aka Protect and Serve.
Because of the hate and vitriol being spewed, officers are retiring or simply leaving, and I would argue that this benefits one group of people-criminals.
I would really love for us to all live in Mayberry, but the bad guys have a vote, and they clearly disagree.
My advice to any American would be this:
Be prepared to legally defend your loved ones, because the narrative is weakening law enforcement all across this country.
