George Washington was a spy master. He used many spies against the British. Intelligence is the key to operations. Having friendly assistance from the local populace is key as well. Such is the case of us entering an Afghan village and the locals say nothing about the Taliban setting an ambush upon us. The British got some excellent intelligence to kill IRA leaders. On a different plane altogether, Patton used fighter planes ahead of his fast moving army to decimate the enemy formations and give him accurate intelligence so he had the flexibility to attack own his own choosing. What a brilliant general.

Very interesting. I hadn't heard of this being established.
When I was at Homestead, Coast Guard 7th District (Miami) was a subscriber off our STREAMLINER. They had a part time Spintcomm. I was on the Day watch when some of them came for a familiarization visit.
