There seems to be a serious misunderstanding of what “flattening the curve” means, particularly among the fearmongering press. The curve has been flattened as the graph in the article clearly shows. And the fact that cases are rising at the moment does not change the fact that the curve was flattened. The original intent of the lock downs to suppress an overwhelmingly massive spread of disease that would have surpassed the capability of our medical system was accomplished. Now let’s maintain a cautious but reasonable course forward.
