You might want to check out the mouse utopia experiments. Pretty much at the end of the day all of those groups are guilty of having too much free time and looking for a way to invent struggles to give their life meaning. Hell the Boogaloo movement is the best example of it, they are so hungry for the next big thing that it is a movement that includes everything from hardened neo nazi's to hard core libertarians.
