I agree and I hope saner heads prevail

We have peaceful protests being squashed by force on someone’s orders.
We have cops shooting rubber bullets at people sitting or standing outside their home’s front doors as they shout “get inside”.
We have extremists and opportunists instigating riots and looting.
We have extremist groups online (AntiFa and White Nationalist) calling for violence where there’s a peaceful protest.
We have journalists being arrested for just doing their jobs.
We have political leaders too busy playing the blame game.
Where do we go from here?

You know, in 25 years in the military I knew the concept of lawful orders but never really thought about it. Today I fear military leaders are seriously faced with the possibility of receiving an unlawful order. One can only hope that their experience and integrity will kick in when placed in that situation.
