It appears S Korea’s per capita infection rate is half of ours. They appear to be much more testing accessible, and are conducting contact tracing. Some countries are flat lining but our cases are going up. This does not bode well for us. I don’t have a good feeling.

This is the guy from Stanford that is involved in the antibody studies. He has had the most science backed view of this from the start. This is the last of the Hoover videos with him, it's a bit long, but it's hard to get real science into a film bite. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=289NWm85eas

This did not change my mind that the lockdowns were a mistake, at least in the majority of the country. By the time the lockdowns really started, we already understood that the death rate from the disease was exponentially lower than the Ferguson Model that sparked the panic in the first place. Even in the worst hit states, NY,NJ and PA, the ICU units were not overwhelmed and there was no shortage of ventilators in spite of the fact that the decision to place Covid patients back into their long term care facilities drove up their death rates. The purpose of the lockdown was to flatten the curve, while Dr.Bhattacharya thinks it had some effect, in most locations it never approached the level that if would have overwhelmed healthcare. It may end up being the case that the decision to close so much "elective" healthcare will have worse long term effects. Whether you agree with the Swedish model or not, they will come out of this sooner because they took the hit up front, while we are going to spread this thing out over months and months. I think his view on testing are correct, after you get to the point you are testing those in the most vulnerable positions to spread it, in particular healthcare and long term care workers, and have enough to identify patients being admitted to the hospital, I not sure how effective contract tracing has been.
Open up society and see if we can salvage an economy out of this mess, which I doubt that will be as easy as Trump seems to believe.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Those who fail to balance individual liberties with societal responsibilities are not free but rather are imprisoned by their own self-interest.
