"On May 10, 1935, born on this day, Larry Williams American rhythm and blues and rock and roll singer Larry Williams. The Beatles and The Jam covered his songs. He scored the 1957 US No.5 hit single 'Short Fat Fannie' and a hit with 'Dizzy, Miss Lizzy'. Williams died from gunshot wounds on 2nd January 1980 aged 45."
