Huge sandwich fan here, too !!! Pretty sure the Maryland sandwich is a crab sandwich, not BBQ. Had the RI grinder when I went to school up there, and it certainly forced me to run a bit more than I was used to to stay in standards (there was an all night Pizza/Grinder shop next door to my home) ! They were awesome. Of course, the BBQ brisket sandwich in Texas is a must...

Agree and glad someone else knows what a grinder is! Pretty much a Connecticut and Rhode Island thing.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Living in Texas we don't really have a grinder place. Tried to make my own, and it was a disappointment. When the quarantine lifts, might have to travel north and east to get a good one. I don't think traveling for a sandwich would be a valid excuse to break quarantine...

LT Brad McInnis You never know.......could be some ingredients in that grinder that have covid destroying properties.

There was a little sandwich place that made Cubanos in Key West. Authentic.

May have eaten there, the best Cuban I've ever had was at a place in Key West (don't repeat that to the places here in Tampa)!

Any lobster roll is great, as long as it's made with New England lobster, not the stuff they call lobster here in Florida.

LT Col John Christensen-I must admit to being a bit spoiled since always have lived in the Northeast and having great seafood available, although winters are getting tougher on the old guy’s body and no chance of snow birding with grandchildren living up here.
