Way cool. If I read this correctly then the Navy was the first satellite enabled portion of our military. So why did the Air Force get the ticket to create Space Force instead? I suspect this goes back to the ownership of sky forces beyond atmosphere. In other words warfare between the various arms of our military.

SSG Samuel Kermon Definitely Some Competition going on. Service Rivalry. Air Force controlled the Vehicles but a lot of the Payloads were Navy.
