With the current spike in unemployment, history has shown vets usually swarm back to school to use their GI Bill. The new legislation coming down will allow vets taking online classes to get paid the same housing allowance as they would if they were in residence. That's a big boost in monthly pay (sometimes 3x) for vets across the country.

This is great news. I am enrolled for full time plus this summer (taking 20 credit hours over the summer for an accelerated nursing program) and will likely have to drastically cut my hours at work to compensate. If I had to do this without my full BAH, I don't know how I would be able to make it work.

Just a quick note to say that you'll only qualify for the in-residence housing allowance if your program was originally meant to be in-residence and was forced to transition to online coursework in response to COVID-19. You will not qualify for in-residence housing if you were already scheduled to take courses online.
