I wonder if this isn't something like our SDI tech in the Ronald Reagon years of strategic defense initiative of the early '80s. Russia may have to take more time in refining these ships and systems if their past track record is any clue. At least we can hope.

I've been hypothesizing the same thing for a few years now. Russians announce gee-whiz military technologies that they can't afford to build, and we react like they are real systems.
