SALRADIO participated in today's media conference with Army head football coach Jeff Monken. Coached covered:
- Taking care of cadets top priority
- We can control attitude, effort
- Coaches meeting daily on game planning, etc
-Players encouraged to focus on online classes they are doing.
- Online classes hard, support staff less available remotely.
- Players sent workout plans to do daily
- Nutrition plans sent.
- Injury rehab being done at facilities near player homes.
- Impact of losing spring practice significant, some schools already conducted.
- A minimum amount of time is needed to prepare players to play a season, normally it is 4-5 weeks.
- Recruiting, can not bring prospects to Post, no Spring Game to have them attend.
- QB Jabari Laws injured in VMI game is doing well in recovery.
- Tremendous respect for Army National Guard, Army Corps of Engineers, Army medical staff working to fight virus.
