I see. He waited for what, 48 hours after this memo to instill a travel ban from Wuhan and stand up the Coronavirus task force. This hardly says inaction to me.
But when you're out to get a guy, you grab any thin reed you can.

Is this your newest episode of loser think?
The letter from Navarro was dated January 28th. The travel ban went into effect January 31. The White House task force was set up January 31st. The democrats called him a racist and a xenophobe for doing so. They all said they would not have put the ban in place. How many more cases and deaths would we have had if they were in charge? What were the democrats doing, they were still drunk on their impeachment fiasco complete with custom pens.
Pelosi was busy on January 15th signing the impeachment documents that led nowhere. They were a compete distraction for all of January until the acquittal on Feb 5th.
If this is your smoking gun moment the person that was shot was you.

Cpl Jeff N. - It doesn’t appear as youre a research clerk of any type, despite being aware of this thing called the World Wide Web. However, moving forward, please understand that’s it’s good practice to have a a citation available; particularly when your claim is inaccurate.
Allow me to help you out. What many folks, including you, appear to not realize, is that the President issued two separate travel restrictions on Jan. 31. One was a very limited travel ban from China.
The other was en extension of Executive Order 13769, “Executive Order Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States". It was originally issued in 2017. This most recent update added 6 new countries to the list. Also, its update was completely unrelated to the limited travel ban from China.
That limited ban is titled “Proclamation on Suspension of Entry as Immigrants and Nonimmigrants of Persons who Pose a Risk of Transmitting 2019 Novel Coronavirus”. See link:
https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspension-entry-immigrants-nonimmigrants-persons-pose-risk-transmitting-2019-novel-coronavirus/
Why is this important? The cries of xenophobia and racism were due to the expansion of EO 13769, something the Democrats have vehemently opposed since its issue in 2017.
You were on the right track with the No Ban Act. But it had been introduced in April, 2019.
See link.

The bill was introduced about a year ago. When the President expanded an EO that the Democrats have, for years, called racist and xenophobic, they again called in racist and xenophobic. So of course, House Democrats continued for award with their legislation that had been submitted long prior.
When March 13 rolls around, and of course, everyone is losing their mind as this bug starts to get out of hand, any legislation against any travel ban of any sort became politically unfeasible. However, Rep. Judy Chu, who introduced the bill, stated that,
“My bill in NO WAY hampers our coronavirus response. In fact, there’s explicit language about protecting public health.”

This is getting lengthy, and I’ve done too much research for you, particularly considering that the courtesy wasn’t done prior. So to recap.
You claimed. “ China travel is shut down on January 31, something Trump was called a racist and a xenophobe for doing by every major democrat”.
In response, you couldn’t demonstrate that China travel was shut down or that every major democrat called the President a racist/xenophobe for doing so. At best, you alluded to a mishmash of half-truths, that really only demonstrate that not only do you not do research for me or anyone else, but not even for yourself.
Best of luck to you.

SGT (Join to see) - you know that Skippy isn't concerned about facts, don't you?
Having said that, it's still good to refute his BS, so that other readers can make up their own minds.
Good job.

Cpl Jeff N. - why did Trump wait for a month after the first letter to issue a travel ban?

Capt Gregory Prickett - thank you. I know that facts can be inconvenient...
But what I really don’t understand, and it (unfortunately) happens all too often on RP, is how after folks have some basic facts explained for them, they simply don’t respond. Or even better, issue the grumpy cat badge of honor.
Oh well...
