I believe he served 7 years in the navy which does not qualify him to be a high ranking officer with deep vision.

I can understand perhaps he wants to show he is the boss but personally talking to the USS Roosevelt crew to belittle the fired skipper seems to be a personal grudge. The situation, the verbal attacks, and awkwardness showed the country that the navy leadership does not 100% care about the sailors well being, shows a vindictiveness against a skipper who was trying to protect his crew. The navy very much accomplished to convey to the nation that it has a leadership problem. It appears that common sense did not prevail. For those who say continue the mission, there is a cruise ship with 60% of the passengers infected. Is 3000 infected sailors acceptable?

That response from Modly was not unexpected. This story is just beginning.

Acting Secretary Modly is just as wrong as Captain Crozier. This is not a domestic dispute on LIVE PD. It is a very public discussion about the state of readiness of a national asset in theater with a global power (China) that has been flexing its muscle and strengthening its position in the western Pacific for several years.

I hope Acting Secretary Modly is shown the door with the same speed as Captain Crozier.
