Windfall for the state of Michigan. “ General Motors (GM) is reopening its Warren, Michigan, transmission plant, which it idled last year, in order to begin producing about 1.5 million face masks a month to supplement the shortage caused by the coronavirus pandemic... Last week, President Trump invoked the Defense Production Act (DPA) to order GM to begin producing critical medical supplies and devices for American healthcare workers and patients. On Tuesday, GM executives announced their partnership with the United Auto Workers (UAW) union to reopen the idled Warren transmission plant to make face masks. “

Excellent post, Sgt (Join to see)! Yesterday I went into a CVS here in Fort Myers to buy some "Face Masks" for a flight back to Boston... None Available... I was told that they are all for the staff...
WHen I got home and had a chance to check on line, there were NO FACE MASKS available at any of the Pharmacy's... I went online to see what I could buy and there were, but couldn't be delivered until well into MAY... So, this is a good step in the right direction, but these masks will probably not be available to the general public... Sad situation, Ann...
