The service will soon start environmental impact studies to assess the effects of putting "Main Operating Base 1" for the new bomber at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota and at Dyess Air Force Base in Texas, according to a notice published in the US federal register on Friday.

We were told some time back that Ellsworth was the base of choice as an active squadron base plus a training squadron. Since that news was released, the area has gone crazy. New housing popping up everywhere. My house value went up over 20%!
If the Air Force changes plans, it will be an economic disaster around here.
