Once again, what was the government (specifically Congress and a significant portion of the State and Justice Departments) doing in January and February at the expense of all other things?
That's right. Impeachment.
Just think how fucked up the government response would be right now if they had succeeded in removing the President and VP Pence would have to be in charge with likely no replacement VP confirmed. Great job, Congress.
Nor am I remotely willing to accept that this is the worst intelligence failure in my lifetime, much less US history.
In my lifetime, in no particular order -
1. The Marine Barracks bombing in Beiruit.
2. The surprise invasion of Afghanistan by the Soviets.
3. 9/11
4. The rise of ISIS
5. The fall of the Shah of Iran
6. The Arab Spring
7. Khobar Towers
8. Repeated cyber attacks
9. Lead up to OIF
10. The absolute debacle of Libya's decent into civil war
11. The worse debacle of Syria's decent into civil war
12. The Russian seizure of Dombass and annexation of Crimea
And that is just off the top of my head.
Predating my lifetime, to name a few:
1. The Tet Offensive.
2. The invasion of south Korea by the North, then later China's intervention
3. Pearl Harbor.
4. The Rosenbergs stealing the plans for the hydrogen bomb
5. Kasserine Pass
6. The Battle of the Bulge
Hyperbole won't get us to a solution. Right now we just need solutions. There will be plenty of time for post-mortems afterwards.

SSgt William Quinn thanks. I read that. Here is one for you to see how we just don’t learn from past events:

Swine flu: lessons we need to learn from our global experience
There are important lessons to be learnt from the recent ‘Swine Flu’ pandemic. Before we call it a pandemic, we need to have appropriate trigger points that involve not only the spread of the virus but also its level of virulence. This ...

I can't believe someone put this BS on paper and then someone else thought enough of it to read and then further post this garbage.
