Political ads have, in my lifetime, gone from being informative to deliberately trying to cleverly pass lies. Both sides do it.

1SG Steven Imerman - I agree both sides do it and have been doing it since the 50's as shown (most likely prior to that).

What does the phrase out of context mean?
"Out of Context". ~phrase.
If a statement or remark is quoted out of context; the circumstances in which it was said are not correctly reported or it is not included in the original commentary in which it was said, so that it seems to mean something different from the meaning that was intended.

1SG Steven Imerman - Look at any of those and find one where context would change anything

1SG Steven Imerman - I notice you could not find an example where context would have changed anything.

I'll note that although both 1SG Steven Imerman and Cpl Kirk S. claim that the quotes are taken out of context, neither will provide an explanation of exactly how any of the quotes were out of context. Providing a definition of context doesn't meet that requirement.
Listening to the original statements by Trump, and the quote on the ad, none appear to be taken out of context.

Not at all!! Understanding his severe disordered personality is all the clinical context I need.

I see nothing wrong with that ad. It uses Trump's own words and aligns them with the growth in the number of documented cases. I can certainly understand why Trump doesn't like it, but it does accurately portray factual truth. He'll just have to find a way to overcome this reality.

We will again see use of the defensive triad promulgated by his most ardent promoters.
Remember, he abhors science and facts. Remember he says "only I can fix it:, I am a stable genius", "I know more about ISIS than the generals" etc. etc. etc.
