Germans & Americans fought side by side in WW2's strangest battle

In the closing days of WWII, American and German soldiers joined forces in a battle against SS forces to protect some high-value civilians. It is believed to be the only such joint operation during the war.

A book was written about it and is currently in pre-production for a film adaptation.

I don't know about anybody else, but I would be very interested in seeing this.

PS: The lady in the video is a veteran. Her name is Shannon Corbeil, and she was an intel officer in the Air Force. She also serves with Pinups For Vets, an organization that publishes 40s-style pinup calendars. Proceeds from sales are used to fund visits to VA hospitals around the country.
