This gangster was one of the worst of the worst criminals of that era. yet people idolize him even today.
I was on a tour with my car club that stopped at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis and visited his gravesite which is rather unremarkable.
David, I believe you posted a historical bio on Melvin Purvis (The original G-Man) and it was Purvis and his men who brought him down outside of the Biograph theater in Chicago.
Despite post-mortem photographs of the body and a death mask which is still on display at a museum in Indiana, there are those who believe it was not him who was killed but someone who looked like him and there are still those who want his body exhumed as late as September of last year to verify if that is the case. To date, the exhumation has not taken place.
