Thousands line procession route to say goodbye to WWII veteran Donald Stratton

RallyPoint Members, Connections, and Friends the American Legion Riders from Post 178 and many other ALR Posts in Colorado had the privilege and honor to provide a "Dignified Escort" for Mr. Donald Stratton and his wife of 69 years and his Son yesterday. Here is a short video from 9 NEWS about the event. I had a few words to say about the event.

We didn't make it back from the border of Kansas until about 10:05 PM MT and it was very cold. Had one minor incident on the way back when a metal shelve blew out of the back of a truck traveling at 75 miles per hour, small damge to my bike and other bikes, but no one seriously hurt. Quick reflexes saved the day for three of us!

Not so lucky for the Kansas ALR Riders that picked up the misson at the Colorado/Kansas Boarder. We lost a veteran, a dad, and a brother last night during the escort. No names have been released yet.
