Maybe we WILL lose the war. Maybe controlling the global heat equation is beyond our collective will. The US leads the world in CO2 reductions. China and India are certainly uninterested. Even if we returned every human to the living conditions of the Native American circa 1700, we cannot say definitively that our globe would become cooler. And, we should not seek a cooler globe if human life remains a moral "good" in AD 2020. Every cold period in human history has been a period of starvation, disease and death.
