Trump’s 2021 budget seeks extra funds for Great Lakes protection

Created in 2010, the GRLI or Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, funds multi-agency efforts to target threats to the world’s largest surface freshwater resource on Earth. The most recent action plan seeks to clean up toxic substances in Michigan and other states, prevent the spread of invasive species and rebuild natural habitats, among other goals. Congress allocated $300 million for the GLRI every year since 2014. President Trump’s budget proposal asks for $320 million, an increase of 6.7%.
Much Thanks to my US Rep Bill Huizenga 2nd District plus Congressmen Jack Bergman and John Molenaar for meeting with the President about the importance of continuing funding for this necessary ecological project and thank you to President Trump who will listen and do positive things for our state of Michigan and the Great Lakes.

That's great! It's too bad the left still thinks Trump is the source of all climate change. If they would actually get behind the good he's doing, imagine how much more he could do.

He is trying to let industry poison the earth again. This is a election scam of a budget the will never get through. All this budget does is add to the deficit that he prodimrd would be “easily” balanced in month instead it increases past the trillion dollar mark and beyond. The GOP false battle cry against Obama and his deficit spending.
