The mental health industry as a whole had done a poor job at many things spending more time with diagnosis and less time with a cure. They have finally come to the conclusion that not all belong behind just doors a,b and c. Each person is unique and what works for some may not for others but today there is more awareness that choices are necessary. There is a far-spread between 'fractured' and 'broken.' As Maj Landgren stated, "some veterans need inpatient and group therapy." To get them there however they have to come forward and those receiving them need to LISTEN to what they are saying. Get them to talk and listen they will tell you what they need in many cases. Make it personal for them and the statistics will change with everyone who comes in contact with them involved and aware.
