Esper Says Taliban Deal is Promising but not Without Risk

Every truce and peace deal has risk especially when it’s not your country. Moment we’re gone and Afghan forces are on their own all bets are off for the Taliban.

It’s always a risk. It gives them time to get there stuff together and when they are ready, they will strike.

What deal? To have a truce and negotiate? I personally think the end result will be a civil war after we reduce forces. If I was Taliban I would lie through my teeth to get the Americans out of the country.
