At least 10 US oil refineries have been emitting cancer-causing benzene above the federal government’s limits, according to a new report from the Environmental Integrity Project.
The group reviewed a year of air monitoring data recorded at the fence lines of 114 refineries, as reported to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Interesting. GBR is shown to be emitting 9ug/m3 on the fence line, which is equal to roughly 0.009ppm.. which isnt even close to hitting the OSHA PEL of 1ppm or STEL of 5 ppm, let alone the ACGIH TLV of 0.5 ppm. Furthermore the greater the distance away from the refinery the more it'll be diluted and pose a non-risk. I'm in no means trying to be pro-G&O, but this seems more like misinterpreting the data collected. Then again, I could be wrong as I'm still a relatively new IH.
