Seems to me to be a violation of his due process rights. But he also should not have went for the gun with the cops right there. I hope a legal challenge will soon invalidate these illegal seizure of property.

The red flag laws do violate due process rights. It is assumed you can not get your firearms back and you must prove to the courts that you are safe to have them Bach, I.e. presumed guilty not presumed innocent. I honestly say I’m not sure what I would do if government officials came to my home to seize my guns with no charges against me or at least probable cause of criminal activity against me. These are rights protected by the constitution.

This is a very slippery slope.
