That's the point, not homophobic bigotry, but the pure word of God. I have meet Franklin and can tell you there isn't a hateful bone in his body, but he will not compromise God's Word in the name of political correctness or anything else.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Re value of Christianity vs Any other religion : Our sacred scriptures record our God as coming in the flesh to redeem ALL mankind, that’s His great love for all the people in the world, not just a certain group. One can be Saved and never leave their house. That’s Power! Sin was spoken of clearly and is relevant to all classes not just poor or rich. Hell was also spoken of clearly.

Not raised a Christian, I looked at other religions before choosing Christianity— none could compare on any important points, in power, at all.

Actually, modern archeology has been verifying over and over the historical accuracy of the Bible. As to the existence of Jesus, there are indeed records, historian Titus Flavius Josephus for one who lived from the early to late first century and wrote extensively about life then. including Jesus and His followers. There are also official Roman records that verify many events in the life of Jesus.

Actually, Archeologically speaking, the question is WHEN not IF Exodus occurred. Some say about 1300BCE, others 1500BCE. Egyptian texts, artifacts and archaeological sites, demonstrate that the Bible recounts accurate memories. Houses in Canaan dating to about 1200BCE and built in the Hebrew style of that period have been uncovered. They differed considerably from the Egyptian houses of that period and are considered an ethnic marker.
Of course anything that far back, even as far back to the time of Jesus is going to be fragmentary at best, but the evidence is there.

Good! Religions operate on the assumption that what they believe is true without having evidence to back it up. How arrogant that they believe that their god is the one to believe in out of thousands that have been created by man. And if that isnt enough, they want to use that to control other people's lives in the one life we do have. No thank you and prepare for my resistance.
