SSG Robert Mark Odom I'm speechless. I wonder if he was trying to avoid orders to the Middle East.

Right now it is not a conviction, it is alleged. We don't know the full story yet. It could be anything from they met at a high school he worked and they hooked up or it could be a false accusation because she got DQed or something. Both extremes happen. When I came on recruiting I was told about a recruiter who turned down a high school girl so she had him charged with rape. He was arrested and at some point she broke down and admitted that it was all a fabrication. The media had already convicted him so once the charges were dropped he went back to the line instead of staying on recruiting and I'm sure that had an impact on his career. Most of the time these allegations turn out to be true but I always keep in mind false accusations also happen and with sex crimes they are not taken lightly when they do.
