Esper is not 100% right. It was Congress that stepped up and told the AF it could not scuttle the A-10s. I think we need to work on developing lasers, rail guns, hypersonic missiles, protecting vehicles, ships, and planes from missiles and other threats, and possibly new doctrines based on new technology. Preparing for the next war is an imperative.
