(Grumbling noises)

Ok-So without spending several days researching this "Falkirk Center", it's connections with Liberty University, staff, etc..etc, here are my three main points:

1. Any time we, as Christians, begin shaping doctrine to suit our aims, as opposed to allowing our aims to be shaped by doctrine...we're in dangerous waters (to include adopting/patronizing/or supporting clearly immoral practices to obtain social or political influence).

2. There is serious moral decay at work in our civilization, and it was predicted in scripture. Christians are collectively "culpable" for having allowed it to alter our own congregations and lives...largely through complacency and compromise.

3. Christ's teachings do not extol weakness, timidity, or impotence...but they do preach compassion, forgiveness, and the lack of vengeance. How we "fight" immoral influence is by being more moral...not less.; that includes living in a spirit of reconciliation with our enemies.

Taking things at face value, it sounds like whomever wrote this organization's mission statement completely misunderstands the meaning of Matthew 5; mistaking civility and patience for refusal to call out wickedness for what it is.

Of this world, applying that tenet may work but obviously does not comply with Jesus’ teachings which more importantly comply with the Kingdom of God and if you recall “the meek shall inherit the earth”, well...
