Sony Boss Says Tarantino Made ‘Right Decision’ Refusing to Edit ‘Hollywood’ for China

Not to be confrontational but I did not miss the point. Did you watch the movie? The fact that it is fiction and therefore can depict whatever the IP likes is exactly the point. China, Bruce Lee's former protégé and Bruce Lee’s daughter all objected and as a result, the movie was not released in China. Tarantino could have cut the scene but it was relevant because it added to the overarching theme of ridiculing Hollywood. Tarantino refused to edit the Bruce Lee scene out in order to secure a theatrical release in China. He and Sony lost millions based on that decision. The scene was actually very funny and I have no less respect for Bruce Lee...it was satire much like the entire movie.
