Many of you know I have participated in a project in our community for the past decade. The Siouxland Freedom Park has slowly taken shape- the John Douangdara Dog Park honors John Duoangdara and his dog Bart- John was a local kid that was killed in Afghanistan along with the several members of his SEAL team and others in a helicopter crash. The half-scale replica Vietnam Wall is a beacon for Vietnam veterans in the area that can't get to DC. The Interpretive center is done on the outside, but still requires about $300K to be completed. The next project in the wings is the Korean War memorial and here is the first piece.
