Question for anyone with experience or contacts at State Dept...what is the diplomatic (legal) status of Iranian military forces in Iraq? Do Iraq and Iran have embassies with each other, and has the Iraqi government invited the Iranian military inside its borders? Just trying to figure out their status...are they in Iraq in a sanctioned status, or could they be considered spies?
