I remember one we made at MCAS Iwakuni, JP in 79. It was about closing time Sunday night for the only place left to get beer. We were on wing side and there were only about 5 minutes left before the 7 Day Store on main side closed. We jumped on a couple of "binjo bombers" and headed across the flight line. Pedaling like hell, luckily there were no A-4s or F-4s rolling. We got lucky and made it back with a few more cases of Bud, without any paperwork. We all lived at the non-rate end of a Quonset hut, and the next morning was Squadron PT. There must have been easily 10-12 cases of empties on the deck of that end of the hut from a fun weekend. It's always funny watching a bunch of drunks fall around trying to get in PT gear at zero dark-thirty. Many Nam missions flew out of Iwakuni. MAG 12 and 15 mostly.
