Pentagon tells military personnel not to use at-home DNA kits

I've always been wary of these DNA kits. Many people have the misconception that since it's dealing with someone's DNA that it is considered medical and therefore private. However, these companies are private businesses and any transaction you may make with them is considered commerical in nature and not covered under medical privacy acts such as HIPPA. Just an FYI.
