I'll just note that many members of the GOP have publicly stated that they will violate their oath, under 194.3 of the rules, and which read: ‘‘I solemnly swear (or affirm, as the case may be) that in all things appertaining to the trial of the impeachment of ——— ———, now pending, I will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws: So help me God.’’
When you say that you've already made up your mind, or you are coordinating with the accused, you're not doing "impartial justice."
