House passes bill to restore key parts of Voting Rights Act

Too bad they are about to pass articles of impeachment too.
Now the Senate can't take it up until that is completed.
If only they would have passed this bill any time during the rest of this session... but you know, they can totally walk and chew gum at the same time.

Man, I'm feeling cynical about this. They probably mean well, but the timing is highly suspect. Like the Dems have totally suddenly found religion on passing bills, so they have something positive to talk about when they go home on recess in the coming weeks. Because just talking about their futile impeachment vote might not play in Peoria.

Another political ad in the making

Hope it doesn’t pass. Elections are ran at the local level. We cannot trust the feds with the election process. I am sure the senate will not pass it.
