What next?
Perhaps they will invent a glove that prevents a hand becoming a fist, and require all subjects to wear them when in public.

When I was in London over the summer I looked into what sort of defensive weapons I could carry in and around the city. Essentially "none" is the answer. They are even cracking down on things like screw drivers, hammers and other hand tools. You need to have a reason to have one with you if you are stopped.

I wanted to carry a retractable baton (about 18" long). Those are not allowed. I thought about a large heavy flashlight. I was advised by locals that at nighttime you could get away with it, perhaps. During the day, you could get stopped. So, in London fashion, I bought the heaviest, hardest retractable umbrellas I could find and tucked it in the small of my back, even on sunny days, must block those deadly ultra violet rays too you know.

They have made the general public potential victims unable to defend themselves adequately on the streets where they release murdering terrorists. The fact that two people had to beat this guy down with a fire extinguisher and a narwhale tusk speaks to the desperation they face.

MCPO Roger Collins - I thought of the same thing. Of course, they would only permit canes to people who have been examined by government doctors who certify the need for such a "weapon".
