I see the usual responses here,,, attacking the source, denying facts, excusing Miller. Shamful.

The only issue I have with SPC Kevin Ford's comments is the use of the term "white nationalism." That is putting lipstick on a pig. This is nothing more that racial hatred, brought about by small minded ignorant people.

MSG Stan Hutchison I can't disagree with your criticism. The sad thing is this isn't some big surprising revelation. This has been staring us in the face the whole time.

His supporters will look the other way like the always do. Like they did with Mueller and Ukraine and the good people on both sides comment and the grab them by the privates comment and a whole host of other items.

The scary thing is there are two types of Trump supporters. The majority are the ones who are likely burying their heads in the sands of friendly news outlets that tell them what they want to hear. That's scary enough. Then there are the others, the true believers. The ones that are happy for the racist, misogynistic agenda.

But does ANYONE seem to have a SLIGHT discomfort over how the social clime of this country is somehow sliding back to the era of Jim Crow (which affected people of non-European origins)?
No?
So it's just me?

Aaaannndd you've proven my point.
You truly didn't think about systematic racism (which also was a part of NORTHERN STATES policies). When Jim Crow was in affect, it was more subtle up north (you know, those REPUBLICAN states).
In addition, you've left out the fact that in the 1960s, Republicans who didn't appreciate blacks having rights formed the Dixiecrats with the disillusioned Democrats. Eventually, the Dixiecrats merged with the Republican party.
If you wanna bring up history, bring it ALL up.

SPC Gordon B Rice for a conservative who was "brought up to hate racism", you seem to be having a problem with identifying that. Do you really think that blatant, in-your-face racism (cross burning, klan robes, calling people n**) is the only racism there is?
News flash, racism has become more subtle and micro aggressive. Since you're not in a position to recognize that NOR do you have the family history, you are not the SME or even an anecdotal resource.

OK, let me be the naysayer on the source. Southern Poverty Law has lost how many libel suits now? You might want to google SPL Scandal and see what the people working there think of the organization. A Quote from a New Yorker article, not exactly a conservative rag, “The S.P.L.C.—making hate pay,” we’d say.
That's a quote from inside the organization.

SPC Kevin Ford - I'm saying that the SPL labels as racist and white nationalist any Conservative organization that disagrees with their progressive ideals, which they preach but don't practice, by the way. Its the reason that they lose lawsuits. Like their employees say, "making hate pay". So before you take the word of NPR that based their claim on the the word of SPL, I would actually go to those sources and see if I agree.

CPT Lawrence Cable - And I have. Have you?

Some more information on SPLC, their reporting is highly factual, if you agree with their analysis is a separate question:

SPC Kevin Ford - No, you haven't. You when to an opinion piece from another source that is left leaning to confirm a source that is not only left leaning, but has lost a number of libel lawsuits, which means that it published stuff that was patently false and their reporting isn't highly factual. Here is a long term conversation with another site, one that references all of their evidence, on their evaluation of Media Bias. https://www.justfactsdaily.com/media-bias-fact-check-incompetent-or-dishonest/

CPT Lawrence Cable - That really doesn't help your case. They are a fect check site but like all sites where they have to manually review a large and changing number of sites, they occasionally will get something wrong. The question was, did they revise it. The answer is, yes they did.

This gets down the the ultimate way people have been pushing partisan agendas. Particularly ones where the facts are twisted or just made up. They can get away with that as long as there are no respected fact and bias checking sources. So if you are one of those groups, how do you continue to push a biased or untruthful narrative? Easy you find any problem with a fact/bias checker and use it to attack their credibility. That way no one can say anything else is wrong and everyone can continue just to pick the "facts" or narrative they like.
