Are you looking forward to seeing Midway?
I have hopes but frankly the video game graphics on trailers I've seen are a bit of a turn off. Is this a movie or an add for a video game?

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen: Yes we plan to see it. However, we will go see it at the matinee after a few weeks. Less crowded and we can afford to buy popcorn if we go to the matinee. Lol!! Both my hubby and I have read a lot about Midway and my dad was at that battle. However, I will always take movies with a grain of salt, a lime wedge and a shot of tequila.
I figure the battle shots will be upgraded video game graphics, but there is a lot of backstory that is going into this movie (including the family aspect). I doubt they will show the transfer of over 2,000 men from the USS Yorktown to Sweet Pea (my dad was her DCO) and then the rush to get the men transferred from Sweet Pea to USS Fulton (while at almost full speed) so that Sweet Pea could return to battle. But I can hope!

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - The thing that has me nervous is that it opens this week but there is no Rotten Tomatoes score. That means they have not screened the movie for critics which usually indicates the studio has something to hide....
