Trump says al-Baghdadi died 'screaming and crying.' U.S. officials aren't sure how he knows that....

Hmm... more nit picking against a good story. Color me shocked.
True or not, why does it matter so much that it needs to be questioned and investigated?

Who is investigating it? I simply pointed an article with a direct quote from the Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff. There you go questioning him.
Why do Trumpublicans get so defensive? It does matter because of the fact that the photo of them all in the situation room looks staged, when the raid kicked off he was golfing and he's saying things that no one else in the room heard or saw.
If one of my elderly relatives acted like Trump has been I'd have them put in a home.
Also - Baghdadi has been killed like 3 times now - and it doesn't get rid of ISIS. It doesn't destroy anything. His replacement is already picked. Taking out these guys does nothing. They're like cockroaches - they just keep coming back but with more.

Why does everyone assume those who defend an aspect about trump is a "Trumpublicans".
YOU posted an article which quoted the General. Am I to assume the Gen simply stated that quote out of the blue or did a journalist ask him as question about the screaming and whimpering? Again my question stands... Why does this need to be questioned or investigated (yes, when you're a journalist asking such a question, you're investigating a claim or statement). What the hell does it matter?
So to you killing the top guy means nothing? This shouldn't be considered a win for Trump (or the US for that matter)? Got it. Did you feel the same when we killed Bin Ladin or were you grateful for what our fellow servicemen and women accomplished? Personally, I was completely elated and I congratulated our President then for making it happen. But according to you they just keep coming back... Does that mean we stop fighting them? Or just stop killing the leaders? Pulling out of Syria then must have been a shining moment for you then right or did you criticize him for that too?
Seriously, you may not like the President (and I am no fan of his style, tact, and inability to be diplomatic either), but you seriously need to check your hatred for him and recognize when something good happens to the country (regardless of what President made it happen).

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin - Because only Trumpublicans vociferously defend Trump on EVERYTHING he does and says no matter what.
Of course a journalist asked him why Trump would say that. Trump is the one saying it - and CJCS said "Never happened."
Actually Baghdadi dead means nothing. Just like bin Laden dead means nothing. AQ still exists. The core leadership might be fractured but there are plenty of sub groups still strong. ISIS still exists - and they will both continue to exist because you can't bomb ideologies. You can't shoot them. AND hundreds of ISIS fighters escaped when Trump pulled troops from Syria. So one guy vs hundreds - where's the bigger threat? Also now he's a martyr and he is a more powerful recruiting tool dead than he ever was alive. When bin Laden was killed I shrugged my shoulders because I know that is not the end of any terrorist group if a figure head is taken down.
I don't hate Trump. I only truly have hatred for one person on this planet and it's no politician or public figure or anyone you would even know. I just don't like what he stands for and I don't like how he has literally turned the country into a laughing stock. The fact that anyone can defend this obviously narcissistic almost sociopath is beyond me.
I don't have to "check" anything either. You can step back on what you think you can tell someone to do or not to do.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff “Never Happened”? Yeah, you need to re-read your own article. The Gen specifically said the following:
“I don’t have those details,” Esper said, adding that the president “probably had the opportunity to talk to the commanders on the ground.”
So I guess the media is going to try and find the Commander who told him that, and/or claim Trump lied and we should impeach him for that too. Let me tell you something... those who are trying to people like get me off the fence on Trump to vote against him, are not helping themselves here.
As for taking out the head of an organization through deadly force, this disrupts C2, the leadership structure, and ultimately the ability to build on the current capability of that organization. It also gives pause to those who consider taking up the mantle. But whatever, I’m obviously not going to convince you either way. Not sure why you would join an organization who’s typical job is to carry out such missions. Your pessimism is very apparent though. I guess we should give up taking out crime lords (or fighting crime in general). While we’re at it, forget perusing medical cures because a new virus or disease will just pop up anyway so why bother right?
I don’t defend Trump’s rhetoric and many of his actions from the strategic communications level. As I said, not a fan of him as a person. But with that said, there are many people I don’t care for in which I appreciate some of the things they do.

Then why is the CJCS saying that none of what Trump said - happened? Are you calling him a liar?
