Yes it is a victory, and a worthless scum is dead. But, this is an ideology, and until we understand that, we can never "defeat" it. Glad to see him die like the coward that he was, though.

Supposedly al-Baghdadi was a descendant Of Mohammed. al-Baghdadi established a Caliphate. ISIS fighters swore loyalty to the Caliphate. al-Baghdadi was supposed to lead a resistance in some small town related to Islamic prophecy as US forces rushed in al-Baghdadi’s forces would prevail. The Baghdadi forces would fight their way to Israel and supposedly as they were about to be crushed Mohammed would appear and save the day. That was from an article I read years ago entitled “What ISIS wants”. The fact that Baghdadi is dead and the caliphate is gone is a big deal. The organization will continue but with out the prophetic mysticism that gave motivation to join ISIS.
