You need to be careful not to get too close to your mission. It can change overnight.

I would love to see the Peshmerga deliver an ass kicking to the Turks and the Syrians. Unfortunately for us, 60+ years ago we allowed Turkey into NATO and they are an ally with a Treaty. We shared common interests with the Kurds but no treaty. That is the way the geopolitical game is played. It sucks sometimes.

I am hoping that Turkey only secures their border area and no more. They have been warned. They are supposed to be an ally, time to act like one.

I've seen several here on RP voice their opinions, but we're well below anyone's radar. At least I hope we are. I tend to shoot off my mouth a lot

It must be disgusting and saddening to watch such staunch allies become possible targets of genocide.

Heart wrenching to say the least. To watch people you lived with, train, fought alongside while your government promised to take care of them and simply abandoned them at the mercy of the invading horde. Still to this day I’m haunted about this.

MSG Louis Alexander - This won't amount to a hill of beans, but I am so saddened and appalled by our abandonment.
