He is making a valid point. Trump lacks compassion and empathy. The only "other" he really cares about is himself. He exhibits a grandiose view of himself. Some clinicians see this as a defense called overcompensation. The notion is that deep inside he feels quite inferior.

I find this post funny since the previous administration basically let anyone not muslim die during the beginning of the ISIS crisis.

Let's be real. The presence of a few hundred US troops was not going to stop the Turks from operating against the Kurds. In point of fact, they have been the whole time with special forces and the occasional airstrike. At best, the Turks contented themselves with garrisoning the border with regular Army units to prevent Kurdish fighters and civilians from fleeing into Turkey in the face of ISIS advances. They most likely figured that their enemies could kill each other, and they were fine with that.
Meanwhile, the Obama administration was content to watch the "JV team", as he called ISIS at the time, overrun huge tracts of land, killing Christians, gays, Yazidis, Kurds, and Muslim Arabs alike.
At some point, you draw a line in the sand and say to the various parties what our position is and what will not be tolerated. Trump has done that with the Turks as well as Assad.
Now, we will see what happens.

SSG Robert Mark Odom - I just put that portion in to give this some context.
Most of the "Christians" in this area have been long since displaced. They simply are not there in real numbers anymore.
It is not as if these are poor, defenseless individuals being bullied by a malign foreign power. Everybody in that area has guns. Lots of guns. They have been shooting at one another for decades, and we could give two f**ks about it. We all sort of cooperated when ISIS was in the picture, but now that they are gone, the old conflict begins anew.
